About the Owner
David Erik Van Elslander is an entrepreneur, skilled craftsman and finisher, who has over ten years of experience and possesses a deep passion for restoring and renewing furniture.
From an early age, David has been inspired by the influential work ethics of his father, mother, and grandfather who instilled the utmost amount of imagination, creativity, and quality in every aspect of business.
Van Elslander began his career in furniture restoration, falling in love with the hands on, creative freedom it allowed him to have. At age 19, he gained experience while working in many shops alongside other restoration specialists in the Metro Detroit area. During this time, he mastered his skills in finishing, touching-up, and repairing custom and antique furniture, creating one of a kind colors and finishes to meet client's needs.
Learning from each job, David realized that it takes years of experience and precision from start to finish, to execute a flawless project. He prides himself on caring for each piece of furniture as though it was his own, understanding that every creation will be as unique as the client who is bringing it to him. Through collaborating with customers, Van Elslander’s goal is to ensure that possibilities are boundless.
